How do I pick up bulky items at Edco Lakewood? ›

Bulky Item Pickup service gives Lakewood trash customers a convenient way to dispose of large and bulky items, free of charge. Just call Lakewood's disposal contractor, EDCO, at 562-531-3054 before 3:30 p.m. at least one day prior to your regular trash collection day for a free Bulky Item Pickup.

Call: Residents must call Hartford 311 at (860) 757-9311 or Public Works at (860) 757-9983 to Schedule Pick Up for all bulk items. Place Items Curbside: Bulk items must be placed curbside after 4PM THE NIGHT BEFORE the scheduled pickup.

For removal of bulky item(s) for disposal, please contact the public waste collector (PWC) serving your estate. The removal of bulky items will be at a separate fee. LASAN will pick up items too large for a normal trash bin free of charge. These include items like beds, couches, and fridges. If you find these items abandoned on the street, please report it, and LASAN will pick them up for free too.

Residents may call All American Waste at (860) 289-7850 or email easthartford@aawllc.com for an appointment for curbside bulky waste pick-up. Single and 2-family properties will receive two (2) FREE pick-ups per unit for each fiscal year, July to June.

Founded in 1967, family-owned and operated EDCO was chosen as the City's new waste hauler because of a demonstrated commitment to providing superior customer service to numerous Southern California communities and having the largest network of local recycling facilities in San Diego County.

Bigger and bulkier items call for large and more stable packaging materials. In most cases, heavy-duty corrugated cardboard boxes work well for bigger items. In the absence of a corrugated cardboard box, you can use multiple different-sized boxes taped together to create a sturdy base.

All Cypress residents are eligible to have two (2) bulky items picked up per calendar year. Residents need to contact Valley Vista Services at 714-380-5450, to schedule a pick up date. Residents should place their bulky item scheduled for pick at the curb by 6 a.m. on the date of the pick-up.
