The new Modular Training Course in Learning Skills is on!
Modular Training Course has been developed under the project “SoSocial – Socialization of risk groups through education” and it is based on a framework, defining the skills, need by the target groups - adult learners (elderly people with disabilities, representatives of minorities, migrants and others).
The Course consist of 6 separate modules, each providing to the participant different topic of life skills:
Module 1 – Decision-making
Module 2 – Community living
Module 3 – Personal awareness and management
Module 4 – Time management
Module 5 – Interview and Presentation Skills
Module 6 – Healthy Habits and Environmental Skills

SoSocial - Socialization of risk groups through education
SoSocial - Socialization of risk groups through education
The project was formulated in the implementation of the Horizontal Priority "Inclusion and diversity in all areas of education, youth and sports" and is aimed at social inclusion, by creating opportunities for training, including the possibility of virtual and blended learning, and ensuring the access of people with fewer opportunities, including people with disabilities, members of minorities and migrants, other people facing socio-economic difficulties and / or discrimination.
The activities are aiming to contribute to the achievement of the priorities of Erasmus+ in the field of adult education, as follows:
1) Improving the availability of high-quality, flexible educational opportunities for adults - project activities are aimed at creating and developing flexible learning offers adapted that the learning needs of adults from risk groups in the community (including people with disabilities, people leaving institutional care, minorities, migrants, and others), by developing training opportunities, including introducing virtual and blended learning.
2) Creating pathways that increase skills, improve accessibility, and increase the spread of adult education - activities are aimed at new opportunities for adult education, including low-skilled, disabled and others. New methods of teaching, interpretation, digital content, and presentation of materials will be introduced, aiming that increase knowledge and skills.
The expected results of achieving the goals will include:
- developed training courses, with flexible and adapted content related that the needs of the specific target group.
- created opportunities for training, including self-training, aimed at including the risk groups in the community.
- ensuring access of the target groups that virtual and mixed learning, by publishing the training materials in an accessible Internet environment.
The implementation of the project will have added value by building the capacity of partner organizations that participate in cross-border cooperation and will contribute that the expansion of partner networks.

Experts from the Association "Social Support and Information" (Bulgaria) and the Society "DISORA" took part in the first transnational meeting of the project "SoSocial - Socialization of risk groups through education2022-2-BG01-KA210-ADU-000095493. The meeting take place in Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria on 6-7th of April 2023.
Discussions during the meeting included the implementation of the adult training needs analysis activities and the results obtained from the translated surveys with adult learners and trainers. Upcoming project activities related to the preparation of training materials were discussed, as well as ways to promote the project and disseminate its results.

The National Report of an analysis conducted among target groups of specific educational needs and selection of educational methods and tools (Bulgaria) was conducted among 34 people (age 18-65 years), who represent members of the target group - people with disabilities, elderly people, representatives of minority groups and migrants and to 14 people, who represent members of the target group - adult educators, social workers, and psychologists, working with disadvantaged people.

The National Report of an analysis conducted among target groups of specific educational needs and selection of educational methods and tools (Slovenia) was conducted among 20 people (age 18-65 years), who represent members of the target group - people with disabilities, elderly people, representatives of minority groups and migrants and to 10 people, who represent members of the target group - adult educators, social workers, and psychologists, working with disadvantaged people.

Second Transnational Project Meeting of the project experts in Maribor, Slovenia
The experts of SoSocial Project met at Maribor, Slovenia for a second transnational project meeting. At the final phase of the project, the dissemination activities were discussed, the final steps for a project popularization were suggested.
During the meeting, the possibilities of holding multiplication events and publishing learning materials or information with links to them on different platforms related to adult learning in Bulgaria and Slovenia were discussed.

Workshop in Ihtiman, Bulgaria
During the workshops (workshop events), the project teams of Association for Social Support and Information and Association DISORA conducted workshops to pilot the learning materials that were aimed at supporting the target groups.
The workshops included 2 events with 13 trainers in Bulgaria and 1 event in Slovenia with 11 trainers who work with vulnerable groups in the community (elderly people with disabilities, people leaving institutional care, representatives of minorities, migrants and others).
The workshops were delivered by experts from the partners as one-day events, in person or online. The aim was to get feedback from the target groups (adult educators) on the needs to improve the programmes and learning materials.
The information from the feedback (questionnaires) was aggregated at project level by the partners in order to maximize the relevance and usefulness of the trainings in terms of:
- Relevance of the training material to the specificities of the target groups;
- Adequacy of the digital techniques used in the trainings;
- Assessment of the flexibility of the programme and teaching methods;
- Evaluation of self-assessment tests and evaluation of material acquisition.

Excited to share the final results with our target groups!
Two events with adult educators were conducted in Slovenia and 3 multiplier events took place in Bulgaria. Project objectives, results and activities were presented and discussed.
The participants in the events got acquainted with the curricula and training materials for the two modular trainings, developed for specific groups - еlderly people with disabilities, people leaving institutional care, representatives of minorities, migrants and others.
The participants were presented with the website of the prefect, where detailed information about the project and its stages of implementation is published. The website provides access to the project deliverables - modular training materials in digital version, which are free to download and use for training purposes.
